houston wedding photographer | kristin + chris downtown galveston engagement

Kristin and Chris met me in downtown Galveston for their engagement session. We started off walking the streets of Galveston and exploring the cool architecture and fun colors. We wrapped up the session at the beach near Pleasure Pier. It was a freezing cold day, but that did not keep us from having a great time and getting amazing pictures! I am really looking forward to Kristin and Chris’ wedding at Briscoe Manor this Summer!

weddings in houston magazine feature

I absolutely adored working with Erangani and Kevin on their special day and am so excited to have them featured in the January 2013 issue of Weddings in Houston Magazine!  Their wedding was beautiful and unique in every way! I was also pleased to see a couple of my images incorporated into the “Playing Their Parts” and “Desserts Beyond the Cake” articles.

2012 in review

2012 was a great year! I can’t believe it has already come and gone and we are well on our way into 2013. I was so privileged to spend another year doing what I love! I truly can’t imagine myself doing anything else. I am so blessed to have met some of the sweetest people this year and be a part of a special time in their lives. I also want to give a huge shout out to my dear sister and assistant, Robyn. I couldn’t have done 2012 without her! I would say every image you see here, Robyn was behind the scenes in some way or another, whether it be culling images, color balancing, editing, blogging, designing, holding my light, the list goes on and on. Robyn has been an integral part of my business for the past year and a half. I am so blessed to have her creative and tasteful vision, tech savvy skills and bright and happy presence in my office on a weekly basis! Another person that doesn’t get nearly enough credit is my husband, Sterling. Almost every wedding blogpost you see is made up of about half of his images (bet you didn’t know that! He’s the real deal!) He is also very likely to be carrying around my bag and handing me lenses on photo shoots. His job is not always an easy one. He has to put up with my stressed out self quite a bit, see the cranky and tired side of me after wedding days, and listen to me rattle on about lots of unimportant things. I am so thankful for all he does! I would not be doing what I love if not for his unconditional support! He is the one always pushing me to dream bigger. I’m excited to see what 2013 brings!

Here’s a little sampling of some of my favorite moments of 2012.
