Romantic Hidden Pines Lake Houston Wedding | Kim & James

Kim and James’ wedding at Hidden Pines Lake Houston was the perfect mix of timeless elegance and heartfelt celebration. The string lights, serene backdrops and soft, even light made everything feel extra dreamy.
I especially loved the relaxed vibe of the day—so easygoing and full of joy. And getting to work with Kim’s family again made it even more special (her sister Katie was a past bride of mine!)
From laughter-filled toasts to a lively dance floor, the day was full of love, excitement, and sweet moments. Kim and James, thank you for letting me be part of your story. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness! If you want to check out Kim’s beautiful River Oaks Garden Club Bridals, click here. For Kim & James’ Buffalo Bayou Park Engagement, click here.

Christine Hoover LPC | Houston, TX Branding and Headshot Photographer

When Christine reached out to me for headshots to feature on her website and in her upcoming new book, I was absolutely thrilled. She is someone I’ve admired for a long time—an inspiring Licensed Professional Counselor, speaker, writer, wife, mother, grandmother, and so much more. She’s the real deal and making a meaningful impact in the world! I feel incredibly fortunate to have her mentorship and friendship in my life.

For this session, I wanted to capture Christine’s vibrant, friendly energy while also portraying the warmth, authenticity, and kindness that define her. We began in her office, where she meets with clients. It’s a cozy space filled with beautiful natural light and a welcoming atmosphere. Then, we moved to her backyard, a peaceful oasis that perfectly reflects her love for nature. Both locations suited her personality to a T! I had such a wonderful time working with Christine and can’t wait to read her new book! I’ll leave you with a few words from Christine:

“I asked Sarah if she would attempt to get a decent picture for my book headshot. I begged sweet baby Jesus for JUST ONE. Let me tell you what, if Sarah can make ME, the awkward queen, look comfortable and at ease, than she can do it for literally anyone. These pictures are proof of her expertise and talent, but also the gentle, graceful way Sarah interacts during the shoot. She is a master of her craft and a jewel of a human. If you ever need headshots of any kind, Houston photographer Sarah is a must. She loves Jesus with all her heart and she exudes professionalism and kindness all at the same time. Here is proof she got waaaaaay more than ONE. She delivered an altogether different problem: PICKING only one!”

Brenham, TX Family Photos | Golden Hour in the Country

Denese and Russell’s family session in Brenham, TX, was extra special as it marked the start of their next chapter. They gathered with their three grown children, their spouses, and six grandchildren on their beautiful new land, where they plan to build their dream homestead for retirement.
I had a great time capturing the entire group, as well as each individual family unit, all surrounded by the peaceful countryside. Even their fur baby, Reagan, joined in on many of the photos! One of Denese’s special requests was a photo of the family on their tractor, with the cows peeking out in the background—and it all came together beautifully during the golden hour. I’m honored to have captured these memories and can’t wait to see the home they create here!
Maddie and Grace, the two oldest grandchildren, are part of the Class of 2025. I had the privilege of photographing them over the summer, and their portraits turned out absolutely stunning. You can check out some of their gorgeous photos here.
You’ll also notice in the last photo (compliments of Lauren) that I brought my whole crew along for this session. We made a family stop at Blue Bell for ice cream before meeting the Terry family on their land, and of course, we couldn’t pass up a pit stop at Buc-ee’s on the way home! The kids had a blast running free on their beautiful property. It was a fun-filled day for everyone!
